Journal Entry #1:
One day, Ernest and I, my neighbor, met up to talk a little. We started talking about how we want to live in a better house. However, we found it impossible for that to happen since we are so poor. Then, both of us got in a sad mood. We didn't do anything wrong or bad to make ourselves poor. We had a lot of things in common. We knew how each other felt. Then, we tried to think of the reason why we became so poor. I said that I think it is Louis XVI who made us poor. It is because Louis takes and puts everything into a condition where poor people were really hard to live, showing that he is a weak leader. Then, Ernestsaid, as a joke, that we should kill Louis XVI to have a better life. However, I took this idea serious and thought what can possibly happen if we put that into action. There are a lot of people who hate Louis and his wife (Marie antoinette) who spends a lot of money. So, I thought it could be possible and it is a great plan that can improve people's222 lives. Ernestdid not think it was a good idea. However, he decided to help me if a lot of people agrees. I was very excited and we spent the rest of the night discussing a good plan that people can put into action.
Journal Entry #2:
I woke up today and decided to gather some people to kick out Louis. Then, I went out to visit people's houses and ask them. I got rejected a lot because I looked poor and people were afraid to die. Then, I found a house with all the lights off. I decided check the window to see if there is anyone in the house. I saw a lot of painting hanging on the walls. Then, I saw a person wake up. I thought, he must be a painter. I knocked on the door expecting him to welcome me. Then a guy opened the door with a knife in his hand. I thought he was trying to kill me. So I told him that I wasn't trying do anything bad. So, the guy put his knife away and we started to talk. I told him my name and I was here to asked people to help me kick Louis out. He introduced himself as Bernard Arnaud. He looked like if he was interested in my plan. Then, I told him that Louis made our lives worse with his weak leadership, unequal distribution of wealth, and etc. He agreed with me that Louis is the one who makes people's life worse. He decided to join our group and help us kicking out Louis. Heading back home, there was a crowd who was yelling and shouting. So, I asked a person next to me what was going on. I heard that Louis and Marie was caught trying to escape and are being executed soon. I was happy and depressed because all the efforts I put to gather people were no use. After a while, Louis was dead.
Journal Entry #3:
I wasn't the only one who was trying to kick Louis out. Other groups against Louis successfully executed Louis. I was sad that I couldn't help them that much. However, after his death, I found out that nothing changed much. Everything was out of control. The bread price was still incredibly high. Farmers still had poor harvests. Robespierre (The Dictator), who said he was going to protect the revolution, said that he was going to get rid of the religion. Just like the other days, I went to my bakery to work. Nowadays, know one really came to buy bread because it was too expensive. However, a guy named Gerard Depardieu came to buy some bread at my store. I was so happy that I started to talk to him. As the time went on, I gave him extra bread and kept on talking. Then, I told him that he was the only customer today. Some how, we ended up talking about our new leader Robespierre. Gerard said that he thinks that Robespierre gained to too much power and him trying to get rid of religion is not acceptable. I agreed. Hoping that some other group will fix this problem for me like last time. I thought, are things going to be better when Robespierre loses power? I decided to wait and see what happens. Since my life is kind of terrible compared to others, from now on I decided to thing and treat everything positively. Let people do what they want and leave it in the way it was. That should help a lot of people survive this disaster.
The time passed. Robespierre was no longer alive and a guy named Napoleon took his place. Man he was short! However, he was a really great leader. Everything was no longer out of control and our life got way better. He looked weak and short. However, he was also a great commander. I think he will be able to conquer all over the world. However, I do not think that it is always good to have all the powers.
